As the Voice of Business for the Greater Victoria region, the Chamber works to ensure the region is a vibrant and prosperous place to carry on business. The Chamber seeks to maintain and enhance a strong socially responsible business climate based on the principles of free enterprise and fair profit. We are committed to advancing existing business and attracting new economic opportunities and constructively influencing public policy to support a healthy private enterprise system.  We value the regions historical character, culture and diversity while embracing economic prosperity and innovation as key components to the quality of life we enjoy. Margaret Lucas

Margaret is the General Manager of the Hotel Rialto. Her mandate is to revitalize this heritage hotel, which in turn, will be a benefit to the vibrancy of Victoria ’s downtown core. Margaret is active in community involvement, with a particular focus on downtown and business development. She is a Director with the Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) and is the Chair of that organization’s Clean and Safe, Block by Block program. She represents the DVBA on Many Voices, One Message, a group addressing the troublesome social issues on downtown streets.

Bruce Carter
Bruce Carter joined the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce in July 2004 as the Chief Executive Officer after working with the chamber for four years as a consultant and volunteer. Bruce has a diverse background including: project management, service as a Naval Officer, wholesale sales, property management and working as a commercial pilot.
